Our Story

Mitchell Egenberg was born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey. He studied in New Jersey State college where he graduated with a BA in Art Education. He began teaching art to children for a few years, then worked with his grandfather in his roofing company. Mitchell carries a fond memory of his late grandfather teaching him how to make metal helmets for his toy soldier figurines. This is what he believed sparked his interest in pursuing jewelry.

Mitchell, was mentored by a jeweler on 47th street and within a few years he decided to open up his own business. Every piece Mitchell crafts is full of passion, love, and fine work. Nothing leaves the premises without his approval. Mitchell is a righteous person and always tries to do the right thing. He takes pride in his fine work and will explain what the process was in the creation. He is the proud sole owner of Eligere - Mitchell Egenberg, and has been in the business for 47 years
